Welcome- I’m so glad you’re here:

Creating Light Within Therapy has been a dream of mine for many years. I’ve always envisioned a holistic practice grounded in care, compassion, and connection — a space where people can show up exactly as they are and feel seen, heard, and supported in their journey.

From a young age, I knew I was meant to be in the helping profession. I felt things deeply — often more intensely than those around me. While this sensitivity is now a strength, it once felt like a barrier. I often felt misunderstood by peers and even adults. That’s a confusing feeling, especially when surrounded by a large, loving family.

Therapy gave me language and space for that emotional depth. Becoming a therapist was my way of turning those early challenges into a path of healing, empathy, and presence for others. Today, I consider it an honor to walk alongside my clients — to witness their growth, their healing, their reconnection with themselves.

There’s something incredibly powerful about seeing someone begin to embrace a part of themselves they once avoided — or watching the puzzle pieces of their story come together in a way that finally makes sense. Those moments remind me every day why I do this work.

 This journal is an extension of that same intention — to create space for connection, reflection, and growth.

Here, I’ll be sharing thoughts on what’s happening in the world through the lens of mental health, along with recommendations for resources like apps, books, podcasts, and tools that support healing. I’ll also reflect on my personal and professional experiences as a therapist.

Writing, for me, is a grounding practice. When we write — or even type — we slow down. Our thoughts, often racing, are given space to breathe. The physical act of writing helps calm the mind, making room for emotions to emerge and be processed.

Whether you’re a current client, a fellow therapist, or someone curious about mental wellness, I hope this journal offers something meaningful to you — whether that’s a moment of validation, a new insight, or simply the reminder that you’re not alone.
